Here is the place where Eagle and Dan Dare started - The Bakehouse, in Southport, Lancashire. It was, and still is, a somewhat cramped and leaky lean-to shed attached to the side of an otherwise ordinary semi-detached house. Robert Hampson, the model for Sir Hubert Guest, the controller of Spacefleet, is easily identifiable,  in the corner, with his pipe. Somebody needs to get down on the floor with a scrubbing brush and soap to remove that bit of scrawl on the paving stone....
