Here's another dynamic image from Don Harley. Dan & Co take a leap into the unknown from one of the floating islands on the world of Cryptos. Incidentally, in recent years, astronomers, using far better telescopes than were available in the 1950s, have begun to discover "circumbinary" exoplanets, that is, planets that orbit two stars at once, and it is probably only a matter of time before "circumternary", or planets that orbit three stars at once, as Cryptos does, will be found. Planets orbiting one star of a more-widely-spaced binary system have also been seen. This situation forms the basis of Brian Aldiss' "Helliconia" trilogy.
