12-17Jeff Hawke in "Pass the Parcel" Part 5, by Sydney Jordan. Original monochrome colored by Martin Baines. The buried ship has survived the atomic blast at the borehole. Opening the hatch Jeff and crew find the armoured suit once occupied by the pilot. There is harmless-looking corroded cylinder in the main cabin.

There is a new hope for a European fully-re-usable space plane. In the USA the first test flight of a new compact, more efficient rocket engine takes place. An in-depth study of an interstellar colonial expedition is reported, Also,the work of the undeservedly little-known astronomer Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin, who established that the stars are made of hydrogen and helium, and are not hot rocks, as her fellow astronomer had assumed, is reviewed.
26-29Kalgan The Golden. (Part ?) Story by E C Tubb, artwork: Ron Turner,, script: adapted by Philip Harbottle, and editing + layout by John Lawrence..Kalgan, Tharg and Leedora travel to the world where Kalgan gained his immortality.
30--33Space Elevators. This well-established concept has been studied for many decades, It consists of nothing more than a ground anchor, a cable stretching upwards to a geostationary "top floor" station, a counter-weight some distance beyond, and an elevator-like vehicle that can climb  and descend the cable between the ground  anchor and the top floor.  The essential super-strong material needed for the cables has, so far, not been found.
